HOWARD GROSS was elected a trustee of the Company in September 2004. A retail industry veteran, he retired in December 2003, as President and Chief Executive Officer of HUB Distributing, a privately owned regional retail business. Mr. Gross helped create and implement a comprehensive development program called Developing Leadership Potential for parent company American Retail Group. Mr. Gross has served as President and COO of Today’s Man, a menswear retailer, and also as President and CEO of The Limited Stores. Prior to serving with The Limited Stores, he was President and CEO of Victoria’s Secret.
Mr. Gross graduated with a Bachelor of Arts from the University of Akron. He serves on the advisory board of Santa Clara University Retail Management Institute, as well as on the Board of Directors of Eddie Bauer Holdings, Inc. and Sharper Image Corporation.
Mr. Gross is Chairman of the Nominating & Corporate Governance Committee, a member of the Executive Compensation Committee and the Strategic Planning Committee of the GLIMCHER Board of Trustees.
