Michael P. Glimcher

Chairman of the Board and Chief Executive Officer

Michael P. Glimcher

Michael P. Glimcher is chairman of the board and chief executive officer of Glimcher Realty Trust, a role he assumed in January 2005. During his tenure, Mr. Glimcher has focused on the Company's transformation into a premier mall real estate investment trust (REIT). He also served as executive vice president before becoming president of the company in 1999 and has been a trustee since 1997.
 
Mr. Glimcher sits on the board of directors for M/I Homes, Inc., and is a member of the board of governors for the National Association of Real Estate Investment Trusts (NAREIT), a member of the Real Estate Roundtable in Washington, D.C., and a past trustee of the International Council of Shopping Centers (ICSC). Believing in a commitment to the community, he serves on the board of directors of the Arizona State University Foundation and the Wexner Center for the Arts and is a member of the Columbus Partnership.
 
As an expert on retail and commercial real estate, Mr. Glimcher has been featured on CNBC, Fox Business, The Wall Street Journal, Fortune and The New York Times and is a pioneer of “experience retail.”

Marshall A. Loeb

President and Chief Operating Officer

Marshall A. Loeb

Marshall A. Loeb is president and chief operating officer for Glimcher Realty Trust. In this role, Mr. Loeb provides global direction for all leasing and operational areas of the organization, putting an emphasis on the quality of Glimcher’s properties and the experiences in their centers. Mr. Loeb oversees construction, development, marketing, specialty leasing, human resources, Ohio Retail Security, LLC, and Ohio Retail Maintenance, LLC. He also served as executive vice president and chief operating officer from 2005 until 2007.

Before joining Glimcher, Mr. Loeb was chief financial officer of Parkway Properties, a publicly-traded real estate investment trust.  Prior to his experience with Parkway Properties, Mr. Loeb was senior vice president/western regional director for Eastgroup Properties, a publicly-traded real estate investment trust with a focus on industrial properties.

Mr. Loeb holds a master’s of business administration from the Harvard Business School, a master’s of tax accounting from the University of Alabama and a bachelor’s of science from the University of Alabama. He is a member of the board of directors for Buckeye Ranch.

Executive Vice President, Chief Financial Officer and Treasurer

Mark E. Yale

Mark E. Yale serves as executive vice president, chief financial officer and treasurer for Glimcher Realty Trust. In this position, Mr. Yale is responsible for the organization’s financial management and reporting. He oversees accounting, finance, investor relations, information services and strategic investments. He joined the Company in 2004.

Previously, Mr. Yale served as manager of finance and chief financial officer of Storage USA, a division of General Electric (GE) Real Estate of Memphis, Tennessee. Prior to the acquisition of Storage USA Inc. by GE Real Estate in 2002, Mr. Yale was senior vice president for financial reporting at Storage USA. His experience encompassed the areas of financial reporting, capital formation, strategic planning and productivity improvement. Mr. Yale also successfully managed the company’s financial and accounting functions through the acquisition integration. Prior to joining Storage USA, he was a senior manager with PricewaterhouseCoopers LLP in Baltimore, Maryland.

Mr. Yale holds a Bachelor of Science from the University of Richmond. He is a member of the board of directors for the Wexner Heritage Center and the executive committee of the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society’s Light the Night Walk.

George A. Schmidt, Esq.

George A. Schmidt, Esq. was named executive vice president, general counsel and secretary in January 2012. Prior to that, he served as executive vice president and chief investment officer.  Mr. Schmidt has been executive vice president since 1999 and general counsel and secretary since 1996.

Mr. Schmidt has more than 25 years of experience in the practice of commercial real estate law, including six years as assistant general counsel of DeBartolo Realty Corporation, a publicly-traded real estate investment trust.

Mr. Schmidt is a member of the Ohio, Texas and Columbus (Ohio) Bar Associations, the International Council of Shopping Centers (ICSC) and the National Association of Real Estate Investment Trusts (NAREIT). He has been a lecturer on shopping center leasing, legal, development and corporate governance issues for the American Bar Association, ICSC and Ohio University.

Thomas J. Drought, Jr.

Thomas J. Drought, Jr. is executive vice president, director of leasing, for Glimcher Realty Trust and has held this position since January 2011. Mr. Drought directs and oversees leasing for Glimcher’s portfolio of enclosed and open-air malls and fashion outlet centers. He brings more than 25 years of retail real estate leasing experience to Glimcher and is responsible for attracting top retail brands and bringing unique entertainment and service experiences to all Glimcher properties.
 
Mr. Drought is a member of the International Council of Shopping Centers (ICSC) and holds the designations of Certified Retail Property Executive and Senior Certified Leasing Specialist from ICSC. He received a Bachelor of Arts in business administration from Southern Methodist University. Mr. Drought leads the Company’s involvement in Pelotonia, an annual non-profit bike event designed to support and raise awareness for cancer research at The Ohio State University James Cancer Hospital.

Melissa A. Indest

Chief Accounting Officer and Senior Vice President, Finance

Melissa A. Indest

Melissa A. Indest is chief accounting officer and senior vice president, finance, for Glimcher Realty Trust. In this role, she is responsible for the day-to-day operations of the accounting department, including external financial reporting, tax reporting, lease accounting, credit and investor relations. Ms. Indest joined Glimcher in 2003 and has also held the role of vice president, finance and accounting. 

Prior to joining Glimcher, Ms. Indest served in various accounting and operational roles with Corporate Express of Cincinnati, Ohio, where she most recently held the title of president, central Midwest division. In addition to prior experience as a controller, Ms. Indest has extensive background in finance, audit, budget and operational processes and procedures. She began her career with PricewaterhouseCoopers LLP.

Ms. Indest received her Bachelor of Science degree from the University of Akron and is a certified public accountant. She serves as vice chairperson on the board of directors for Lifeline of Ohio.

Armand Mastropietro

Senior Vice President, Property Management

Armand Mastropietro

Armand Mastropietro is senior vice president, property management, for Glimcher Realty Trust, having joined the Company in 1998. In this role, he is responsible for property management and the day-to-day operations of the Company's portfolio of enclosed and open-air malls and fashion outlet centers. Mr. Mastropietro brings over 27 years of shopping center management experience to Glimcher and has served as vice president, regional director of properties, regional director and general manager of SuperMall, now the Outlet Collection | Seattle. He has also held several positions as general manager prior to joining Glimcher, including eight years with General Growth Properties.

Mr. Mastropietro is a member of the International Council of Shopping Centers (ICSC) and holds the designations of Certified Retail Property Executive (CRX) and Certified Shopping Center Manager (CSM) from ICSC as well as serving on various ICSC governing committees.  He received a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration from Youngstown State University.

Victor H. Pildes

Victor H. Pildes

Victor Pildes is senior vice president, development, for Glimcher Realty Trust. In this role, he provides leadership in project management and design, strategic planning, and overall direction for all new development and redevelopment activities throughout the portfolio. Mr. Pildes joined Glimcher in this capacity in 2013.

Prior to joining Glimcher, Mr. Pildes served as vice president and consultant for Centrum Partners of Chicago, Ill. In addition, he has served as senior vice president at Westfield and senior vice president, development at JMB/Urban Retail Properties Company, gaining experience in redevelopment activity, land acquisition and development staff management.

Mr. Pildes holds a master’s degree in architecture, a bachelor of science in architecture and a bachelor of arts in urban geography, all from the University of Michigan.

Scott Barrett

Scott Barrett

Scott V. Barrett is vice president, development – anchor leasing for Glimcher Realty Trust. In this role, he focuses on the leadership and management of the development, leasing, and design activity associated with anchor, big box and peripheral land deals across the portfolio. Mr. Barrett joined Glimcher in this capacity in 2014.

Mr. Barrett has expertise in all aspects of the development life cycle, and has spent much of his career focusing on leasing both anchor and in-line retailers. Prior to joining Glimcher in this role, Mr. Barrett was vice president of development for the Community/Lifestyle Centers division of Simon Property Group. He has also held the roles of vice president at Kite Realty Group and Casto Management Services and regional leasing manager at Glimcher.

 Mr. Barrett holds a bachelor’s degree in business administration with a focus on real estate from The Ohio State University.

Steve G. Bruch

Steve G. Bruch is vice president, development and construction, for Glimcher Realty Trust. Mr. Bruch joined Glimcher in 1997 with the acquisition of SuperMall, now the Outlet Collection | Seattle. In his current role, he is responsible for managing the Company’s development and construction departments and has played a pivotal role in the development and redevelopment of key Glimcher assets including The Outlet Collection | Jersey Gardens, Scottsdale Quarter, The Outlet Collection | Seattle and Polaris Fashion Place.

Prior to joining Glimcher, Mr. Bruch held the positions of development director for the Hapsmith Company of Beverly Hills, California; Prime Group of Baltimore, Maryland; and Western Development in Washington, D.C. Mr. Bruch holds the designation of Construction & Design Professional (CDP) by the International Council of Shopping Centers. He earned a Bachelor of Science degree in architecture from the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee.

Stephan G. Gerber

Vice President, Regional Director of Property Management

Stephan G. Gerber

Stephan G. Gerber is vice president, regional director of property management for Glimcher Realty Trust. Mr. Gerber currently oversees and serves all facets of property management and operations for 13 Glimcher properties. Mr. Gerber brings more than 20 years of experience in retail management to Glimcher and joined the company in 2002. For Glimcher, he has also held the positions of general manager and regional director.

Mr. Gerber is also a Certified Gemologist with more than 20 years of experience in the retail fine jewelry industry. Mr. Gerber served as a director of operations for Downey Designs International; he also served as a regional director, Midwest region for Zale Corporation and Samuels Corporation. In this role, he managed numerous stores in a five state area.

Mr. Gerber is an active member of the International Council of Shopping Centers and has served as a member of the board of directors for numerous chambers of commerce.

Joshua P. Lindimore

Joshua P. Lindimore

Joshua P. Lindimore serves as vice president, leasing, for Glimcher Realty Trust. In this role, Mr. Lindimore manages the leasing strategy and deal pipeline for the Company’s Outlet Collection properties and handles day-to-day leasing responsibilities for University Park Village, a premier open-air center in Fort Worth, Texas.

Mr. Lindimore joined Glimcher in November 2010 as senior director, leasing, and previously served as a leasing representative with Steiner & Associates. He is a member of the International Council of Shopping Centers and holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in sociology from Ohio University.

Kenneth Marshall

Kenneth Marshall is vice president, development for Glimcher Realty Trust. In this role, he focuses on the implementation of the company’s development strategy, contributing to the leadership and implementation of redevelopment projects throughout the portfolio. Mr. Marshall joined Glimcher in this capacity in 2014.

Mr. Marshall has expertise in all phases of development and asset financial performance.  Prior to joining Glimcher, Mr. Marshall served as executive vice president of the Commercial Division of Colonial Properties Trust (now MAA), and he has also served as vice president and regional development director for The Westfield Corporation and vice president and development director for Urban Retail Properties Co.  

 Mr. Marshall holds a master’s degree in architecture and a Bachelor of Science in architecture, both from the University of Illinois.

Jed E. Reichard

Jed E. Reichard is vice president, regional director of property management for Glimcher Realty Trust. Mr. Reichard currently oversees and serves all facets of property management and operations for 10 Glimcher properties.

Previously, Mr. Reichard served as general manager at River Valley Mall and WestShore Plaza before joining the corporate property management team as regional director of properties in 2006.

Prior to working for Glimcher, Mr. Reichard worked with Jacobson stores for 17 years. Mr. Reichard holds a Bachelor of Science in Business Management from Brigham Young University and is an active member of the International Council of Shopping Centers.

Damion J. Sankovich

Damion J. Sankovich

Damion J. Sankovich serves as vice president, leasing, for Glimcher Realty Trust. Mr. Sankovich oversees leasing for some of the company’s marquee assets and recently acquired projects, including Scottsdale Quarter in Scottsdale, Arizona, Polaris Fashion Place in Columbus, Ohio, and Malibu Lumber Yard in Malibu, California. He joined the company in 2004 as a specialty leasing manager and held various roles within Glimcher’s leasing department, before assuming the role of vice president, leasing.

Mr. Sankovich graduated from Ohio University with a Bachelor of Arts in psychology. He is a Certified Leasing Specialist and member of International Council of Shopping Centers.

Grace E. Schmitt, Esq.

Grace E. Schmitt, Esq. serves as vice president, human resources, for Glimcher Realty Trust. She joined the Company in 2007 and is responsible for the development and execution of key human resources policies and programs, organizational planning and talent management, compensation and benefits, as well as health and safety initiatives. She is a licensed attorney in the state of Ohio.

Prior to joining Glimcher, Ms. Schmitt served in the human resources leadership role for Casto Management Services. Her experience includes work in the construction and retail sectors. She holds a J.D. from The Ohio State University, College of Law, and a Bachelor of Arts of Business Administration from the University of North Texas.

Cheryl M. Southworth

Vice President, Information Services

Cheryl M. Southworth

Cheryl M. Southworth joined Glimcher in January 2010 as vice president, information services, for Glimcher Realty Trust. She is responsible for providing solutions, direction and leadership regarding information technology to corporate and field operations and to other business partners.

Prior to joining Glimcher, Ms. Southworth served as vice president of support services at Influent, a privately held company that provides inbound, outbound, and business process outsourcing to a number of Fortune 500 and other leading companies. While at Influent, she was responsible for all technical aspects of client relationships, including requirements analysis, scripting, leads processing, reporting and file transmissions. Previously, she held a wide range of IT and project management positions with Wendy's International, Inc. in Dublin, Ohio, with responsibility for the development and implementation of a number of strategically significant technology, development and operations projects.

Ms. Southworth received a Bachelor of Arts degree from The Ohio State University.

Neil Van Winkle, Esq.

Neil Van Winkle, Esq.

Neil Van Winkle, Esq., was named vice president, legal-leasing, at Glimcher Realty Trust, in August, 2011.  He joined the Company in 2000, and previously served as senior transactional attorney.  His primary areas of practice include real estate acquisitions and dispositions, construction and permanent financing, new retail project development, and anchor tenant leasing.  Before joining Glimcher, he was in-house counsel for Wendy’s Old Fashioned Hamburgers, Inc., Roadway Services, Inc., and Developers Diversified Realty Trust.
 
Mr. Van Winkle is a graduate of The Ohio State University and earned his law degree from the Capital University School of Law.
